The Australian Sports and Anti-doping Authority

Drupal Design & Development

In late 2014, PreviousNext was engaged for the design and Drupal development of a new website for ASADA, the Australian Sports and Anti-Doping Authority.

Established in 2006 by the Australian Government, ASADA is an organisation that carries out services and programs to protect Australia's sporting integrity and the health of Australian athletes.

Challenge

Replacing a website that was manually edited, PreviousNext were tasked with redesigning and migrating the ASADA website to a new cloud hosting platform. ASADA required a responsive website that would not only reflect their branding and business requirements but that could also be easily and efficiently managed by many staff members.

Solution

Working collaboratively with ASADA and the Department of Finance throughout the Definition Phase to determine the complete project scope, content strategy, information architecture and visual design approach, PreviousNext conducted a detailed analysis of the project requirements and provided recommendations on how to best implement them using the aGov Drupal distribution.

Combining our Drupal expertise with our UX and design capabilities, PreviousNext developed an enhanced version of the default aGov theme, which was customised to meet ASADA’s requirements.

Outcome

Launched in early 2015, the ASADA website was the first website to go live on the Department of Finance's cloud hosting platform. With an overhaul to the design and significantly enhanced functionality, the new ASADA website offers an improved user experience, better serving the needs of Australian athletes, sports, support people and the wider public.
