aGov 2.0 released on Drupal.org and the AWS Marketplace

We’re pleased to announce the full release of aGov 2.0 on Drupal.org and the AWS Marketplace. aGov 2.0 is designed for Australian Government agencies who require a choice of hosting platform, full access to the code base, the flexibility to customise functionality and integration with third party systems.

In order to facilitate the ease of hosting aGov sites, aGov 2.0 is now available to deploy from the AWS Marketplace in Amazon’s Australian datacentre. With AWS one of the few certified cloud services providers to the Australian Government, this allows anyone to quickly spin up an aGov 2.0 site and take advantage of the efficient pricing and huge suite of tools available to Amazon customers. aGov on AWS can be fully supported by a Managed Services plan for customers requiring higher levels of support.

aGov 2.0 is also available as an automatic install for any Acquia Cloud customers, and will be released on the Microsoft Azure Marketplace and NSW GovDC in coming weeks.

As part of aGov 2.0’s full release on Drupal.org, we also worked closely with our accessibility partner, Media Access Australia, to ensure full WCAG 2.0 AA compliance. This means users can be confident that their site is fully accessible when first installed, and can engage Media Access Australia’s independent auditing services to maintain compliance once content is added or display styles customised.

Our attention will now move towards the release of aGov 3.0, a full redesign that focuses on the new policies being developed by the Digital Transformation Office, with enhancements allowing aGov websites to be customised with even greater ease and flexibility.

Please join the aGov mailing list and we’ll keep you informed of any updates.
