Brand New Media

Multi-Channel Video Content Platform

Brand New Media is a global content company with a pedigree in content development, creation, distribution and marketing. They own, develop and manage digital TV channels for the world’s leading brands and broadcasters. PreviousNext was engaged for the Drupal development and management of their global video content platform - Channel Play.

Specialising in video-led content marketing and responsive advertising, Brand New Media (BNM) wanted to create a channel-based Drupal distribution that would make it possible for them to offer clients an integrated content creation and distribution solution, and to set up multiple new sites with ease and efficiency.

Presented with a complex task, PreviousNext determined the requirements and took a bold approach in building Brand New Media’s own bespoke video publishing platform. Supporting internal business users and all of the channelPLAY sites, thousands of video assets are now centrally managed and published across multiple channel sites globally through a complex system which integrates with other third party videoing encoding and delivery solution software. PreviousNext adapted the channelPLAY design and worked closely with BNM to develop a responsive theme that is used across the whole channelPLAY platform but is flexible enough to create a unique look and feel for each brand.

PreviousNext built Brand New Media a channel-based Drupal distribution that is now being used to power 30 brand-driven channelPLAY sites, delivering a real solution for clients wanting to create, manage, distribute and monetise content to new and existing audiences. The creation of channelPLAY has allowed BNM to deliver end-to-end video led content marketing infrastructure, skills and technologies so that their clients don’t have to. A significant project, there are global opportunities around this platform for both Brand New Media and PreviousNext as we continue to host, manage and support the platform across all 30 sites on Amazon Web Services infrastructure.
