Context

In late 2016 the City of Casey, a local government to the South East of Melbourne, undertook a competitive tender selection for a new website development project. This would be the online face of an exciting new venue being developed. They chose the PreviousNext team to deliver this new site on Drupal 8.

A holding site was initially used to display the building plans. The challenge for the City of Casey was to showcase the unique architecture and spaces of Bunjil Place in a way that would engage with the local community. Faced with a short delivery time frame, a minimum viable product was delivered in six weeks.

The solutions

We delivered a solution that transformed the 3D renders of this stunning building. We presented them in a unique interactive digital showcase. Users could visualise and explore the community spaces. This drove engagement within the community and sparked interest in Bunjil Place.

The second phase of work would focus on preparing Bunjil Place for operationalisation.

Having rolled out a site-wide branding update, new features allowed users to book spaces to host events and purchase tickets to attend events at Bunjil place.

The results

As physical development progressed at Bunjil Place, user and business needs would evolve in line with this, which is why the new website was built to continue evolving.

Project work was ongoing. A continuous improvement strategy was put in place for new features, which would be delivered collaboratively between the City of Casey and our team.
