Following our successful seminars in Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney & Brisbane. PreviousNext in conjunction with the Drupal Association is pleased to present a “Drupal 8 Ready” seminar in Perth on Thursday November 19.
Drupal 8 RC2 has just been released and we’re likely to see an official release before the end of 2015. Far from being a general improvement on Drupal 7, version 8 is a totally new architecture that takes advantage of the most modern standards for building cutting edge websites and engaging digital experiences.
With Drupal already running a large proportion of the world’s most popular websites, version 8 is set to leapfrog competing CMS platforms in terms of functionality and ease of use for designers, developers, administrators and content editors. For technology decision makers, version 8 will build on Drupal’s reputation as the go-to platform for large scale websites, with major advancements in platform management to further improve total cost of ownership.
The PreviousNext team has been at the forefront of Drupal 8’s development over the past few years, and despite our relatively small company size, is credited as one of the top 3 companies globally contributing code to the open source project. Part of this ethos of contribution is knowledge sharing through our blog and at conferences around the world, which we’ll be consolidating into a jam-packed two hour session for this seminar.
The seminar will provide a high level overview of the changes coming in Drupal 8, specific considerations for different types of users, and approaches for adopting the new CMS. The talk will be relevant to developers, content editors and decision makers alike, and we’ll finish the session with an in-depth Q&A with members of our expert team. We'll also be providing attendees with whitepapers and other collateral produced by the Drupal Association around the release of Drupal 8.
Attendance is free, so please just register using the form below. If you can’t attend but would like to arrange an in person briefing for your organisation, we’ll be happy to discuss options if you contact us directly.
Date: Thursday November 19.
Locations: The George Hotel, St Georges Terrace, Perth
