Bunjil Place

An Interactive Digital Showcase

Share this post on social media

A first-of-it’s-kind facility, Bunjil Place brings together creativity, entertainment and community in a way that is unparalleled in Australia.
In late 2016 the City of Casey, a local government to the South East of Melbourne, undertook a competitive tender selection for the development of the website for an exciting new venue being developed and chose PreviousNext to deliver this new site on Drupal 8.

Challenge

With a holding site in place displaying the building plans, the challenge for the City of Casey was to showcase the unique architecture and spaces of Bunjil Place in a way that would engage with the local community. Faced with a short delivery time frame, a minimum viable product was delivered in six weeks.

Solution

PreviousNext delivered a solution that transformed the 3D renders of this stunning building, presenting them in a unique interactive digital showcase, allowing users to visualise and explore the community spaces as well as driving engagement within the community and sparking interest in Bunjil Place. The second phase of work is still ongoing and is focused around preparing Bunjil Place for operationalisation. Having rolled out a site-wide branding update, new features now allow users to book spaces to host events and purchase tickets to attend events at Bunjil place.

Outcome

As physical development progresses at Bunjil Place, user and business needs evolve in line with this, which in turn affects the evolution of the new website. Project work is therefore ongoing and a continuous improvement strategy has been put in place that will see PreviousNext continue to work closely with The City of Casey to deliver new features for the Bunjil Place website.
